Ocean's 14 – George Clooney Speaks Out
No Soderbergh this time; a virtuously adrenaline-fueled director is in talks
After years of rumors and denials, George Clooney has finally confirmed that Ocean’s 14 is moving forward. An icon of charm and wit, the American actor revealed during the AFI Fest that the script is complete and that filming could begin in nine or ten months. Warner Bros. has already greenlit the budget, marking the anticipated return of Danny Ocean and his impeccable crew of thieves.
With his usual humor, Clooney joked about a recent theft at the Louvre, imagining it as a possible inspiration for the film: “If I were still a thief like Danny, I’d be proud of those guys,” he said with a laugh, honoring the sophisticated and playful tone that has always characterized the saga.
One last high-class heist?
According to rumors, the director of John Wick, David Leitch, is in talks to direct this new adventure, promising a mix of style and breathtaking action. Clooney also hinted that Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Julia Roberts could return to complete the legendary team.
Slated for 2027, the film would arrive exactly twenty years after Ocean’s Thirteen, ideally closing a circle that began in 2001 with Ocean’s Eleven. If all goes according to plan, Danny Ocean will return for one last, irresistible heist: elegant, impeccable, and – we hope – unforgettable.
