Nioh 3: First Look and Release Date for the Hell Rising DLC
The first of two Season Pass add-ons arrives next month
Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have shared a trailer for Hell Rising, the first DLC for Nioh 3. This add-on content transports players to a future Edo in the mid-17th century, a place now entirely conquered by the Crucible where demons and rebellious humans run rampant. The protagonist Takechiyo, with the help of swordsman Yagyu Jubei and Spanish emissary Rodrigo, must thwart a conspiracy.
When Hell Rising will be released
In addition to new enemies to fight, the DLC will feature new weapons, Guardian Spirits, moves, abilities, ninjutsu, and Onmyo magic. This add-on content is included in the Deluxe Edition's Season Pass, along with an additional DLC that will be released by February 2027. The release date for Hell Rising is set for August 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam). If you're not yet familiar with Nioh 3, take a look: we highly recommend it without reservation.
