BERGAMO - MSI, a global leader in AI computing solutions and high-performance hardware, announces its strategic entry into the Italian EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) market. This operation is part of the Group's expansion and diversification plan, which is already active globally in the renewable energy and sustainable mobility sectors. To drive business development in Italy, MSI has established a new dedicated business division, operating with a local structure with the aim of positioning the company as a reference technology partner for businesses, infrastructure managers, and private customers.

“An electric vehicle charging station is not simply a hardware terminal, but a critical hub for energy conversion and grid quality management,” declared Elsa Yeh, Assistant Vice President of MSI's EVSE division. “MSI approaches this sector by leveraging decades of leadership in precision electronic engineering and complex IT systems to offer a highly reliable and scalable technology platform, designed to ensure maximum performance and operational continuity for every motorist.”

MSI's entry into the charging infrastructure sector responds to the growing demand for reliable, efficient solutions capable of optimizing the operating cost of electric and hybrid vehicles, both for corporate fleets and residential users.

“The European charging infrastructure market, among the most advanced in the world for technology and innovation, is characterized by the presence of multiple global players and regulations oriented towards decarbonization and intelligent energy management, supported by the growth of renewables and the digitalization of energy systems. The charging point is increasingly part of an interoperable and interconnected ecosystem,” added Luca Griggio, Regional Business Development Manager, MSI EVSE. “This evolution is particularly evident in Italy, where the spread of distributed photovoltaics and residential, corporate, and public charging makes the integration between mobility and energy increasingly central. This is exactly the ground where MSI can make a difference: we bring our consolidated experience in electronics, computing, and AIoT to electric charging. With one of the largest internal combustion engine fleets in circulation on the continent, in full transition to electric, Italy is a key market for MSI. For this reason, we have decided to invest directly in the country with a new local division, to respond promptly, extensively, and with tailor-made solutions to the needs of Italian operators, installers, and motorists.”

MSI's Offering for the EVSE Market

The offering that MSI will progressively introduce to the Italian EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) market includes a natively integrated ecosystem of hardware solutions and software management platforms, for both private users and businesses. In particular, in the coming months, the EZwall wallbox, the Hyper 80 Dual fast charging station, and the EZgo mobile charger will arrive in Italy, alongside the aConnect and eConnect software platforms for remote control, management, and monitoring.

The EZwall device reaches up to 22 kW in three-phase and is designed for integration with photovoltaic systems and energy management systems, while Hyper 80 Dual goes up to 80 kW in direct current, can serve two vehicles simultaneously, and supports Plug & Charge via ISO 15118. Finally, the portable EZgo device is a transportable solution of up to 11 kW designed specifically for the European market.

With this model, MSI targets both individual motorists and those operating in segments such as Real Estate, Retail & Large-Scale Distribution, Hospitality, and Corporate Fleets, to whom it offers a complete technological architecture from infrastructure production to operational management.
