Monster Hunter Ends Support on Windows 10
Capcom warns users
On October 15th, Microsoft will discontinue support for the Windows 10 operating system. This measure has been known for some time, and although the Redmond company has guaranteed security for systems with the old OS for another year, no other types of updates will be released.
As a consequence of this situation, Capcom has announced via its Steam page that on the same date, it will discontinue support for three of its Monster Hunter series games currently available on W10: these are Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Wilds. There was no mention of Monster Hunter Stories 1 and 2.
The Street Fighter developer has, however, specified that the game will not stop working overnight: as long as no updates are released, it will still be possible to use all game functions, but it is only a matter of time before connectivity and other content become inaccessible to users with the old OS.
On the other hand, the company assures that it will still be possible to play the title in offline mode if unsupported updates are avoided. Of course, as long as Steam continues to support W10...
