After last week's break, Nintendo resumes with the usual updates to the Nintendo Music app. Today's candidate is Metroid II: Return of Samus, the second chapter in the saga. Released in November 1991 (May 1992 in our region) on Game Boy, the title expanded the formula and story of the original Metroid for NES, with elements still adopted by the franchise today. It may not have aged perfectly, especially after the release of remakes (official and unofficial), but it remains a milestone in Samus's video game epic.

Composed by Ryoji Yoshitomi, the soundtrack includes 19 tracks for about 30 minutes of listening. It would have been nice to expand the offering with Metroid: Samus Returns for 3DS as well, but we'll have to wait for a future update. As usual, we remind you that Nintendo Music is available for free download, but can only be used by owners of a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. See you next week for a new update.
