Metro 2039: The Official Game Presentation
4A Games takes us back into the depths of post-apocalyptic Moscow
For over a quarter of a century, the few survivors of the last nuclear war have taken refuge in the Moscow underground, to shelter from the poisoned surface. After many conflicts, these derelicts have been unified by a new leader: Hunter, a fanatic who rules with terror and has established only an apparent peace. In this scenario, the solitary Stranger embarks on a harrowing journey.
This is the setting of Metro 2039, the new chapter in the single-player FPS series created by the Ukrainian studio 4A Games with a proprietary graphics engine, based on the novels by writer Dmitry Glukhovsky. Together with publisher Deep Silver, the developer showed the world its new work with a captivating 15-minute presentation video. The underlying message is clear: you are facing the darkest Metro ever.
