Mario Tennis Fever will debut on Switch 2 in a month, and here you can find the trailer with all the new features, released just yesterday. If you're already up to date on the next round on the tennis courts with Mario and friends, then you'll be interested to know that Nintendo has also confirmed support for Amiibo, the figurines with NFC technology, and has released details on the in-game bonuses they will unlock.

We don't know if there's anything else brewing, but for now, the figurines that have been popular in the Nintendo ecosystem for over a decade will allow players to use exclusive tennis balls during matches. They don't seem to have any particular properties, but their design will be linked to that of the scanned character. For now, 12 Amiibo compatible with the game have been confirmed, namely those from the Super Mario line and Bowser Jr. from Super Smash Bros.

This doesn't seem like much compared to what was seen in Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for Wii U, where you could train and customize the tennis players contained within the figurine (following in the footsteps of Super Smash Bros. 4 and Ultimate); perhaps the Kyoto-based company hasn't told us everything? We will keep you updated in case of any news.
