Milan, July 7, 2026 The time has almost come to experience the ultimate pirate adventure, thanks to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced – a new chapter in the successful Assassin’s Creed™ franchise and a remake of the beloved 2013 title – which will arrive on July 9 on Ubisoft+, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as on PC Windows via Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The game will allow players to dive back into, or for the first time, the Golden Age of Piracy, to sail the Caribbean waters in search of treasure, engage in naval battles, and live the epic adventure of Captain Edward Kenway, a rebellious pirate involved in the centuries-old conflict between Assassins and Templars. Immersing oneself in the corsair atmosphere will be even more exciting, thanks to updated graphics, new narrative content, and enriched gameplay.

But the true protagonist of the Assassin's saga has always been the historical era. The franchise's success, in fact, also stems from its ability to recreate with extraordinary accuracy the eras in which the various chapters are set, transporting players into carefully and rigorously reconstructed historical contexts and allowing them to truly breathe the atmosphere of the period. To celebrate the release of this highly anticipated new title, Ubisoft has decided to bring to life a piece of that historical era, recreating in minute detail a symbolic garment of the 18th century, in which Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is set: the tricorn, the iconic hat worn by pirates in the eighteenth century.

A.G. Leather Design, an Italian artisan specializing in replicas of leather costumes and clothing, has crafted a faithful reproduction of this iconic headwear, which in the game is often worn by the protagonist, Edward Kenway, but also by the bloodthirsty pirate Blackbeard (pseudonym of Edward Teach), not just a virtual character, unlike Kenway, but a historical figure who lived between the 17th and 18th centuries. Made of leather, the hat is a historically accurate reproduction of those used at the time, and additionally features the symbol of the Assassin Brotherhood, to make the tribute to the saga even more immediate.

“The tricorn was very popular in the 18th century; it was a distinctive sign. Its peculiarity consists in having three sides of the brim raised and laced or buttoned to form a triangle around the central crown,” comments the artisan A.G. Leather Design, Andrea Gatta. “It could be simple, or it could be made of leather, or incorporate lace or feathers for a touch of extravagance. Along with the eye patch, it has become a distinctive symbol of pirates. The product created recalls historical tradition, which comes to life with modern craftsmanship. Like all our products, it is a zero-waste product; we draw materials from the food supply chain, thus minimizing environmental impact.”

An initiative by Ubisoft that aims to celebrate the return of one of the most beloved chapters by fans, combining the modernity of video games with the prestige of Italian craftsmanship and the charm of History
