LG expands the sports experience of its Smart TVs
Standings, results, schedules, and advanced statistics without interrupting your viewing
LG continues to push sports streaming and updates the experience of its televisions with Sports Playbook, a new feature designed to accompany the most popular sporting events with real-time data and updates directly on the screen.
Available on Smart TVs compatible with webOS 5.0 and later versions, the service allows you to consult standings, results, schedules, and advanced statistics without interrupting the game. The goal is to reduce reliance on smartphones and tablets during live events, concentrating everything within the TV interface.
Sports become more interactive on TV
Among the planned features are player comparisons, team performance trends, and complete tournament monitoring, with constantly updated brackets. LG will progressively integrate Sports Playbook into its Sports Portal, creating a single environment dedicated to sports content.
Through LG Channels, moreover, European users can access various channels dedicated to football, golf, tennis, and motorsports for free, including FIFA+, Inter 24/7, and Talksport. According to LG, the project aims to transform Smart TVs into an increasingly central reference point for following sports and live events directly from the living room.
