LG Display, 720Hz OLED for Competitive Gaming
The declared response time is just 0.02 milliseconds, essential for FPS and racing games
LG Display has begun mass production of a 24.5-inch OLED panel designed for competitive gaming. The resolution is Full HD 1920 × 1080 pixels, and the refresh rate reaches 720Hz. This achievement is made possible by a proprietary algorithm developed to ensure stable operation at a truly impressive speed.
The declared response time is just 0.02 milliseconds. The goal is to limit blur and ghosting during the most intense sequences, an aspect particularly relevant in FPS and racing games. OLED technology also contributes to visual fidelity thanks to self-illuminating pixels, with infinite blacks and high contrast.
Panel designed for esports
The first monitor to integrate the panel is the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, selected as the official display for the PGL Counter-Strike 2 Major Singapore 2026. This choice links the technology's debut to one of the main international esports events.
LG Display intends to expand its offering with panels for monitors ranging from 20" to 40" inches. Some larger models will also adopt Dynamic Frequency & Resolution technology, which allows for dynamic changes in frequency and resolution. The company has not yet announced further specifications.
