The first official image of Jumanji 4 has, in a few hours, changed the tone surrounding the saga: no longer just a new chapter, but the point where the boundary between game and real world seems to dissolve. The shot published on the franchise's Instagram account is not just a simple photo from the set, but a concrete clue to the direction the story will take.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black pose together, but what's surprising isn't their amused expressions: it's where they are. No digital jungle, no mysterious temple, but a street in Los Angeles. A detail that confirms what The Next Level only hinted at in the post-credit scene: this time, it's the real world that's being invaded by elements of the game.

Chaos Will Invade Reality

The cast also reconfirms other highly anticipated presences: Nick Jonas returns as Seaplane, while Awkwafina reprises her role as the lightning-fast Ming Fleetfoot. Now out of the video game, they will have to confront a reality that doesn't operate with predefined skills. Rory McCann is absent, at least for now, which leaves open the possibility of a new antagonist born from the chaos about to unfold.

According to what Kevin Hart anticipated some time ago, this fourth adventure could represent the conclusion of the saga that began in 2017. And the scenario seems to confirm it: bringing the avatars into our cities is the most radical step taken so far. The release date is set for December 11, 2026.
