James Bond - Sydney Sweeney Could Be the New "Bond Girl"

The James Bond saga continues to reinvent itself. After 26 films and the conclusion of Daniel Craig's era with No Time to Die (2021), the famous agent 007 is preparing for a new phase under the control of Amazon MGM Studios, which now holds the creative rights to the franchise. While Barbara Broccoli's departure has certainly raised concerns, the solidity and potential of Denis Villeneuve at the helm of the next chapter are no less significant, with the screenplay entrusted to Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders.
Among the many questions surrounding the project, one in particular has captured fans' attention: Sydney Sweeney could be the next "Bond Girl". The actress from Euphoria and Madame Web is reportedly on Amazon's radar, and her presence at Jeff Bezos's wedding certainly didn't go unnoticed.
Awaiting the Next James Bond
In a recent interview with Variety, Sweeney reacted cautiously to the rumors: «I don't know what to say… I'm a big fan of the saga and I'm curious to see where it goes», she declared, then jokingly added that she would enjoy "playing James Bond herself".
With a rising career and new projects on the way, such as a live-action adaptation related to the Gundam anime, the American actress could represent the ideal face to relaunch the charm and modernity of the 007 world. The film, supervised by producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman, promises to redefine the Bond myth for a new generation of viewers. Bets are being taken on the "older" generations.
