Hollow Knight, Nintendo Switch 2 Version Announced with Free Update for All Platforms
PC players can already try out the new features by downloading the beta version of the update
Team Cherry has announced the arrival of a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for its Hollow Knight. The first installment of the popular soulslike metroidvania will debut on the new Nintendo hybrid console in 2026 and will include all the improvements seen in the sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong, for the platform, such as increased frame rate, various display modes, higher resolution, and additional graphical effects. It will also be available as a free update for all owners of the original on Switch.
In addition, the title will soon receive an update with extra quality of life features, balances, and assorted fixes. Players with PC versions can already try some of these improvements (details of which can be read at this address) by opting into the beta branch and downloading the game files for free. Hollow Knight is available on PC via Steam and GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
