Saber Interactive has shared a new trailer for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, offering a concise overview of the game's gameplay. The video aims to show how this title fits into the survival horror genre, and behind the very gruesome appearance, we find rather recognizable dynamics revolving around first-person combat and puzzle-solving.

Hellraiser: Revival Combat

When facing one of the abominable enemies in the game, it is crucial to dodge their attacks to stay alive. Once the opponent's health is reduced beyond a certain threshold, they can be killed with a gruesome finishing move. Melee weapons will have limited durability: rusty blades and spiked clubs will frequently break, so it will be essential to find others around the labyrinth.

Against some enemies, it will be necessary to keep your distance, so you will have to resort to firearms. As a survival horror game, ammunition will be scarce and will need to be sought out during exploration or crafted. The protagonist Aiden can also use the power of the Genesis Configuration, the Cenobites' puzzle box, which will allow him to unleash special attacks.

The Genesis Configuration can also be used in conjunction with other weapons to create deadly combos. The box's power will charge with the suffering of enemies: once enough has accumulated, the devastating chain attack can be unleashed. But in Hellraiser: Revival, you don't necessarily have to confront every enemy: you can also choose to suppress them with a stealth attack from behind, or to escape, or to let environmental hazards slice them to pieces.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival will be released on October 8, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
