Gungrave GORE Blood Heat: The Remake Announcement
The bloody game from three years ago is being remade from scratch
With Gungrave G.O.R.E., in 2022, Korean studio Iggymob attempted to revive a franchise born in the PlayStation 2 era, offering a high-violence action/shooter experience. Unfortunately, the attempt was not successful: as we explained in our Gungrave GORE review, the developer did not make the necessary effort to give meaning to the operation, creating a product that suffered from the weight of its age.
The Gungrave G.O.R.E. Remake
During the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast, Gungrave GORE Blood Heat was announced, a remake in Unreal Engine 5 of the 2022 title. Blood Heat will offer gameplay faithful to the original, meaning we will still be dealing with a third-person action/shooter where a rain of blood and bullets flows, but all aspects of the game have been revised, following user feedback.
In Gungrave GORE Blood Heat, not only the technical sector and visuals will be modified, but also the level design, movement system, combat system, and so on. Iggymob has therefore rebuilt its work from the ground up, and we hope that the second attempt will be the successful one. Gungrave GORE Blood Heat will be released on a date yet to be determined on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
