Gears of War: E-Day - Xbox console exclusive out today
The grand return of the third-person shooter
Publisher Xbox Game Studios and developer The Coalition announce the release of Gears of War: E-Day, available starting today, October 6, on Xbox Series X|S, PC (Xbox PC, Steam) and the Game Pass service. The iconic TPS series returns to screens with a chapter redesigned from scratch in Unreal Engine 5, a prequel that follows protagonists Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the dramatic early moments of the war between humanity and the Locust Horde.
In our opinion, The Coalition studio has succeeded in creating a work that is not only respectful of the saga's glorious past, but also makes it progress in several aspects, starting with the best campaign ever seen in a Gears of War, and then moving on to a rich and addictive multiplayer. We explain why Gears of War: E-Day is currently Xbox's main console exclusive in our review.
