Gears of War: E-Day goes... slow in new trailer
Less than a month until the Locusts arrive
Gears of War: E-Day will tell us how it all began, the intense days when the Locust horde erupted from underground and humanity's war for survival thus began. The prequel to the famous third-person shooter franchise is in development at Canadian studio The Coalition, which is preparing several new features for players: we delve deeper into the discussion in this preview.
In the new trailer, we can witness some dramatic battle phases, with protagonists Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago confronting the invaders to try – in vain – to protect defenseless civilians. The musical accompaniment is Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings. The appointment with Gears of War E-Day is set for October 6, 2026: you will be able to fight the Locusts on Xbox Series X|S, PC (Xbox PC, Steam) and from day one on Game Pass.
