Gears of War: E-Day - Beta Test Details
First contact with the prequel in two days
Gears of War: E-Day will bring one of the most famous third-person shooter franchises back to screens, telling us what happened 14 years before the events of the original, when the world first encountered the threat of the Locust. As Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, players will experience the dramatic first moments that began humanity's war for survival. A few days ago, a trailer dedicated to the multiplayer modes was shared.
Beta Test Information
If you wish to try this multiplayer firsthand, you can do so very soon: developer The Coalition has scheduled two open beta test sessions. The first will take place from August 6th to 10th, will be accessible only to those who have pre-ordered the game or are subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate/PC, and will allow players to preview the PvE mode Horde Siege. The second will take place from August 13th to 17th, will be open to everyone, and in addition to Horde Siege, will also include the PvP mode 4v4 Versus.
Participation in the beta tests will entitle players to exclusive rewards, but the accessible content will only be a fraction compared to what is included in the full game (see image below). We remind you that Gears of War: E-Day will be released on October 6th, 2026, on Xbox Series X|S, PC (Xbox PC, Steam) and, of course, on Game Pass from day one.
