Gainward Relaunches GeForce RTX 3060 Python II OC
The Python II design integrates a full-length backplate with dedicated airflow vents
Gainward has announced the GeForce RTX 3060 Python II OC, a new version of NVIDIA's GPU based on the Ampere architecture, offered with a factory overclock, 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, and a dual-fan cooling system.
Despite belonging to an older generation compared to the more recent GeForce RTX 50, the card retains some features that could be interesting for the mainstream segment. These include the 8-pin PCIe power connector, compatible with many power supplies already on the market, and the use of GDDR6 memory, which continues to represent a consolidated solution in a period characterized by rising memory chip costs.
Offering Still Focuses on GDDR6 Memory
The Python II design integrates a full-length backplate with dedicated airflow vents, while Zero RPM technology completely stops the fans during less demanding activities, reducing system noise. According to Gainward, the 12 GB of VRAM allows for not only Full HD gaming but also activities such as content creation and initial local artificial intelligence projects, thanks to greater memory availability.
The company also notes that the GeForce RTX 3060 continues to be one of the most popular GPUs among PC users, maintaining a significant presence in Steam's usage statistics. At the moment, Gainward has not announced the price and availability of the new Python II OC.
