Halloween with Guillermo del Toro is a dream that will come true on October 31st at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, where the Oscar-winning director will present his Frankenstein in an IMAX premiere, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. Spectators are invited to dress as their favorite characters from the filmmaker's visionary universe.

Inspired by Mary Shelley's seminal 1818 novel, the film will arrive in select Italian cinemas starting October 22nd and will debut on Netflix on November 7th. Oscar Isaac (Dune) will be Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi (Saltburn) will play the Creature, Mia Goth (MaXXXine) will portray Elizabeth Lavenza, and Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) will bring Dr. Pretorius to life.

The Visionary Mexican Director Strikes Again

The plot follows the story of the brilliant but arrogant scientist Victor Frankenstein, who decides to defy the laws of nature by creating life. However, his experiment spirals out of control, condemning both him and the creature to a tragic fate. The Los Angeles event is a must-attend for fans of gothic horror and for those who wish to experience Halloween night immersed in the unique imagination of the great Mexican-born director.

Journalist Glenn Kenny, who works for the authoritative website dedicated to the memory of Roger Ebert, commented on the work after its premiere in Venice: “While inspired by Mary Shelley's novel, the film offers a new and moving vision of the story. The performances by Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac are commendable, as is the philosophical depth and extraordinary visual impact, which make the work a triumph and not a tragedy.”
