Expeditions: Samurai - The Announcement Trailer
Experience the thrill of becoming the first European Samurai
Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Campfire Cabal announce Expeditions: Samurai, a turn-based RPG set in feudal Japan. Around the year 1600, the English navigator William Adams reached Japan, where he became the first European man to be granted the title of Samurai. In this video game, however, the honor will fall to the player, who will take on the role of Captain Flynn and must navigate the civil war between powerful Daimyo of the era.
Flynn will be accompanied by his crew: a party of eight characters, each with their own backstory, which will only be revealed after earning their trust. The combat system is turn-based, but with a dynamic setup where movements, attacks, and interruptions can occur simultaneously. Characters can stealthily move around the battlefield, employ various abilities, and a wide array of weapons, from pirate-style to traditional Japanese.
