Dragon Ball Super Shows What Could Be Vegeta's Mother for the First Time
Toyotarou included her on the new alternate cover for Volume 19, but the character's identity has not yet been officially confirmed.
Dragon Ball Super may have shown Vegeta's mother for the first time, or at least offered the first real visual clue. The figure appears on the new alternate cover for Volume 19 of the manga, created by Toyotarou after the volume won the “My Favorite Cover” poll organized by the official Dragon Ball website.
The illustration revisits the family theme of the original cover, but this time shifts the focus to Vegeta's family. In the reflection on the water appear King Vegeta, Tarble, and a woman almost completely hidden by the king's cape. The official website deliberately avoids identifying her, merely calling her a “mysterious figure” and noting that this is also the first time Toyotarou has drawn Tarble.
It is precisely the composition of the image that has led to speculation about Vegeta's mother. Kotaku observes that previous versions of the cover used reflections to relate different generations of their respective families. The woman also wears the symbol of Vegeta's royal family on her dress, another element that strengthens this interpretation.
Toyotarou, however, has not confirmed the character's identity. Speaking about the illustration, he drew attention to Bulma's reflection, then avoided explicitly stating who the woman is. ComicBook.com therefore presents the discovery as a teaser and not as a definitive revelation.
The distinction is important: currently, there is no official name, information about the woman's fate, or confirmation of her future appearance in the Dragon Ball Super story. The image therefore remains the first possible visual reference to Vegeta's mother, deliberately kept ambiguous by the authors.
