In 2013, the release of Don't Starve gave a decisive boost to the survival genre. Canadian studio Klei Entertainment created a no-compromise survival experience, which is probably not for everyone, but has a lot to offer to those who persevere: we explain it well in our review. Subsequently, the franchise expanded into multiplayer with Don't Starve Together, and now it's time for a new chapter.
Details on Don't Starve Elsewhere
Klei has announced Don't Starve Elsewhere, confirming the hardcore survival mechanics that characterize the series. In the new title, players will once again struggle with hunger, harsh weather, hostile creatures, and every other adversity the environment can throw at them. The world will be made up of multiple biomes, to be explored alone or in cooperative multiplayer. There will also be a thick fog, which will severely test the mental fortitude of the character... and the player controlling them.
Where and When Don't Starve Elsewhere Will Be Released
Currently, the only confirmed platform for Don't Starve Elsewhere is PC, via Steam, but a console release is not to be ruled out. Klei Entertainment has not announced a release window; when there are news about it, we will keep you updated.
