Steven Spielberg definitively pushes Disclosure Day into much more unsettling territory with the newly released final trailer. The new footage almost entirely abandons the director's classic sense of wonder to make way for paranoia, tension, and a climate of conspiracy that permeates every scene.

The film, arriving here on June 10, 2026, revolves around a truth hidden for decades and a revelation destined to change the world. The trailer features a succession of blackouts, interrupted transmissions, sudden escapes, and characters visibly shaken by something no one seems truly ready to face.

Spielberg Focuses on the Darker Side of Alien Contact

The phrase “I'm seeing them” opens an increasingly tight montage, where the extraterrestrial theme is treated as a global crisis that is more psychological than spectacular. There is no idea of a traditional invasion, but rather that of a secret kept for too long and now close to exploding before all of humanity.

Emily Blunt appears at the center of the story, while Josh O’Connor and Colman Domingo help reinforce the ambiguous and tension-filled atmosphere. David Koepp, a long-time Spielberg collaborator, returns to the screenplay, and the trailer clearly conveys an attempt to recapture the adult and paranoid science fiction of the seventies.

More than nostalgia, Disclosure Day seems to want to transform the fear of the unknown into something profoundly contemporary.
