The clash between Dante and Vergil returns to center stage in the teaser for the second season of Devil May Cry, set to debut on May 12 on Netflix. The first images hint at an even more personal tone, where the conflict is not just physical but deeply tied to the two brothers' past.

After the initial events, Dante is forced to come to terms with what he lost as a child, while Vergil's return reopens wounds that never truly healed. The heart of the season thus seems to shift to a more intimate dimension, without sacrificing the intense action that characterized its debut.

Cult Characters Between Action and Emotion

Adi Shankar is still at the helm of the project, already known for his work on Castlevania, with animation entrusted to the Korean studio Studio Mir, guaranteeing a dynamic and refined style. Regarding the voice cast, Johnny Yong Bosch returns to voice Dante, joined by Robbie Daymond as Vergil and Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady.

The series originates from the eponymous franchise created by Hideki Kamiya, one of the most influential names in action video games, who since 2001 has built a universe of demons, style, and spectacular combat. With this new season, Netflix seems to want to push even more on the emotional side of the characters, while keeping the action soul that made the saga famous intact.
