CORSAIR Acquires Trak Racer, Expands Sim Racing World
Founded in 2008 by Matt Sten, the company has become one of the top benchmarks over time
CORSAIR takes a new step in the simulation sector by announcing the acquisition of the assets of Trak Racer, an Australian company known for producing cockpits, seats, monitor stands, and accessories dedicated to sim racing and flight simulation. The operation, already effective, expands the group's portfolio and joins Fanatec, a brand that entered CORSAIR's orbit to consolidate its presence in the virtual driving peripheral market.
With this acquisition, CORSAIR aims to offer an even more complete ecosystem. Fanatec will continue to develop wheelbases, steering wheels, pedals, and shifters, while Trak Racer will bring its expertise in creating aluminum and tubular cockpits, dedicated seats, monitor and peripheral stands, as well as motion systems and haptic technologies designed to increase simulation realism.
An Offer That Covers the Entire Driving Station
Founded in 2008 by Matt Sten, Trak Racer has become over the years one of the reference brands for simulation enthusiasts, with a catalog ranging from entry-level configurations to professional setups. The agreement also represents CORSAIR's first concrete entry into the flight simulation sector, thanks to the TR550 Flight Simulator platform, which will become part of the group's offering.
The acquisition will also allow Trak Racer to leverage CORSAIR's international sales and distribution network, expanding the brand's presence in physical stores and key global markets. Concurrently, Matt Sten joins the company as Chief Technology Officer for Sim Solutions, contributing to the development of future solutions dedicated to driving and flight simulation.
