The teaser for Colony opens without hesitation with an out-of-control contagion. The teaser for Yeon Sang-ho's new film focuses entirely on atmosphere and tension, hinting at a horror that develops with aggressive terror, with no possibility of escape.

The work seems to abandon all gradualism to immediately immerse the viewer in a nightmare of mutating bodies and environments that become traps. In view of its presentation at the Cannes Film Festival, the project is preparing to hit American cinemas on August 28, 2026.

A Contagion That Explodes Without Warning

The released images get straight to the point: a suicidal scientific choice degenerates in moments, with the virus manifesting brutally. There's no waiting or slow build-up, but an immediate escalation of unsettling transformations and a total loss of control.

The sense of confinement remains central: the building appears isolated, transforming into a sealed system where the threat amplifies. Tension arises precisely from this contrast between spaces designed for control and an infection that destroys it from within.

At the center of the story is the character played by Gianna Jun, alongside Koo Kyo-hwan, both involved in a fight for survival that immediately appears desperate.
