Christopher Lambert - Illness at Steel City Con

Christopher Lambert had to interrupt his participation in the Steel City Con in Pittsburgh after an illness that required the intervention of paramedics. At 69 years old, the actor was transported by ambulance after feeling unwell during the convention dedicated to cinema, series, and pop culture. The news caused much concern among fans, also because Lambert had spent part of the day meeting the public and signing autographs.
The actor's representatives clarified his condition, explaining that Lambert had recovered and was resting in his hotel. According to his entourage, he had slept very little the previous night and eaten insufficiently during the day, conditions that would have caused a drop in blood sugar and the subsequent fainting spell.
The situation after the illness
Steel City Con had, in the meantime, canceled the scheduled photo session with the actor and left other appointments pending. Lambert was also supposed to participate in a panel and further fan meetings.
The public knows him best for playing Connor MacLeod in the first Highlander in 1986, a role that transformed him into an icon of fantasy cinema. During his career, he also played Raiden in Mortal Kombat and Methodius in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
