2026 is a special year for id Software, as it celebrates its 35th anniversary. Founded in Mesquite, Texas, on February 1, 1991, id Software has become the quintessential modern first-person shooter company, winning countless awards with iconic titles such as Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, RAGE, and Quake, up to last year's release, DOOM: The Dark Ages. Among the studio's most important titles are:

The celebrations began last Sunday with giveaways on our social media channels and continue today, Wednesday, February 4, with a special anniversary livestream starting at 12:00 AM CET to honor id Software's legacy, featuring Marty Stratton and Hugo Martin. Don't miss the first details about this year's QuakeCon, which celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Following this, to mark the 35th anniversary, several titles from the id Software catalog will be on sale on Steam and the PlayStation Store starting today, with discounts of up to 66.6% on DOOM: The Dark Ages, while titles from the Wolfenstein, DOOM, Quake and RAGE series will continue to be available on Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, Evercade today announced that it will launch a collection of classic DOOM products, to keep the retro gaming experience alive for id Software fans.
