Call of Duty Reveals Season 5 Content
Lots of new features, arriving July 23
Activision has unveiled the content arriving with Season 5 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone, which will begin on July 23. For the endgame, players will encounter a new assignment, Burn Run, which involves speeding through the streets of Avalon in a vehicle packed with explosives, passing through checkpoints before it's too late. There's also a new series of Skill Bonuses, obtainable in Zone IV and Nightmare regions, offering various power-ups.
New Maps
At the launch of Season 5, players will find Jubilee, a new medium-sized 6v6 map set in a rural Japanese town. Also at launch will be two remastered locations: Frequency (6v6, medium-sized), located in the Hunan mountains, and Dig (6v6, small-sized), situated at an archaeological dig in Avalon. Mid-season will add two new maps: Turbo Tilt (6v6 or 2v2, small-sized) depicting the inside of a pinball machine, and Freerun: Descent, a training obstacle course.
New Modes
Season 5 will feature various limited-time modes, starting with the new Overdrive Domination: as the name suggests, it's a fusion of Domination and Overdrive. Another new feature is Gauntlet Rush, composed of five rotating modes where players must constantly engage the enemy. Mid-season will see the return of Cranked Moshpit. Finally, the Ranked Play mode will debut, dispensing seasonal rewards to those who climb the leaderboard.
Zombies Updates
Regarding Call of Duty Zombies, the main new feature is Eidskallen Lighthouse, a survival map centered around a lighthouse. The direct mode will arrive in Kowakujo, with Starting Room. Rogue Run will offer three new playlists set in Astra Malorum, with missions of increasing difficulty. Mid-season, the Zombies story will conclude with the challenge against the Warden in the new Round-based map. For more details on Season 5 content, consult the official website.
