Activision unveils the new chapter in its shooter saga
The American company Activision has officially announced the new annual installment in its famous first-person shooter series: it is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. This title will bring long-running storylines to a turning point, telling us of a conflict that begins when North Korea invades South Korea. The war will expand globally, with a campaign that will lead players to fight through the streets of New York, Paris, and Mumbai.
When and Where CoD Modern Warfare 4 is Released
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is developed by Infinity Ward. The release date is set for October 23, 2026. Confirmed platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC: the series is no longer expected to be released on PS4 and Xbox One (nor on Game Pass on day one). The extraction mode DMZ will be previewed on June 7, the day of the Xbox Showcase.
