Buio Omega – The Rustblade Limited 2K Box Set
The release will arrive in a limited edition box set of 499 copies, packed with extras
Almost half a century after its release, Buio Omega is preparing to enter the collections of enthusiasts with a new RustBlade edition that celebrates one of the most discussed and radical titles in Italian horror.
The film directed by Joe D'Amato tells the descent into obsession of an antique dealer who, unable to process the loss of the woman he loved, crosses every moral boundary. A work that over the years has built its reputation thanks to extreme imagery, decadent atmospheres, and the unmistakable musical contribution of Goblin.
Edition designed for Joe D'Amato cultists
The publication will arrive in a box set limited to 499 copies and will include Blu-ray, DVD, illustrated book, and a set of postcards. The film will be presented in its restored integral version, with Italian and English DTS audio tracks and subtitles in both languages.
The extras section is particularly rich. Among the contents, the documentary Massaccesi si nasce, D'Amato si muore by Eugenio Ercolani stands out, accompanied by contributions from Luigi Montefiori, Cinzia Monreale, and Claudio Fragasso. Also included are an interview with Cinzia Monreale and Maurizio Guarini of Goblin, a special feature dedicated to the film's themes with Francesco Basso, a tour of the locations, an in-depth analysis curated by “Gonz” from Non aprite questo blog, and a collection of trailers.
