Those who frequented YouTube back when people weren't yet talking about influencers, content creators, and the like, might remember Angry Video Game Nerd, a picturesque character who lampooned the "good old games," adopting a style full of frustration that some might today describe as a keyboard warrior. After spending a lifetime destroying games, now it's the game's turn… to try and destroy him.
Retroware announces Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit, an '80s-style side-scrolling platformer where the angry Nerd must make his way through levels populated by all kinds of monsters. This title is released today, October 23, on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Switch, PC via Steam, accompanied by the launch trailer. Physical editions will also arrive soon, including a special one for NES, on cartridge.
