Abiotic Factor: The Roadmap for Future Updates
Game support will continue for a long time
Abiotic Factor, the co-op survival game where you fight monsters with the power of science, was released last July after a period of early access and seems to have won the hearts of many players: on Steam, it boasts over 30,000 reviews, with an "overwhelmingly positive" user rating. The launch of version 1.0 certainly did not mean the end of support, which will continue for a long time.
The Future of Abiotic Factor
Publisher PlayStack and developer Deep Field Games have shared the roadmap for future updates via Steam, starting with patch 1.1, expected this autumn, and beyond. The next update will introduce several free additions, including new difficulty levels, weapon improvements, assorted quality-of-life features, farmable items, cosmetics, and so on. A paid DLC, called Homeworld Temple of Stone, is also planned.
As we mentioned, support will continue for a long time: Deep Field Games plans to release seasonal updates, roughly every three months. The roadmap hints at those planned for winter, spring, and summer, but without revealing too many details: the important thing is to know that the developers will continue to add new content until late 2026 and beyond.
The Free Trial Weekend
If you're curious about Abiotic Factor but are undecided whether to buy it or not, next month you'll have the opportunity to try it: from November 7th to 9th, you can test the game for free on Steam. Of course, cooperative mode will also be accessible.
