28 Years Later: The Bone Temple – Upcoming Film Trailer
Not your usual zombie film, this seems to be the promise emerging from the first images
The trailer for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple has reignited enthusiasm for one of the most influential sagas in contemporary horror cinema. The first images reveal a work that not only continues the recent story but aims to redefine the universe inaugurated by Danny Boyle more than twenty years ago. Finally, someone capable of going beyond the infected themselves.
For this new installment, Nia DaCosta (The Marvels, Candyman sequel) is at the helm, and she seems to have imprinted a more ritualistic and symbolic visual identity, while Alex Garland returns to the screenplay with the aim of exploring humanity's more disturbing drifts after almost thirty years of devastation. At least from the trailer, a darker and more psychological tone emerges, where the danger is not only linked to the infected.
Beyond the usual apocalyptic vision
The cast brings together key faces from the last film and adds sensational returns. Ralph Fiennes plays a doctor at the center of events that could rewrite global balances, while Jack O'Connell brings to life an antagonist destined to leave his mark. Alongside them return Chi Lewis-Parry, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and, for the first time since 2002, Cillian Murphy as Jim.
The synopsis suggests a world where the infected are no longer the main threat. Social tensions, fanaticism, and new forms of power seem to be the true heart of the conflict. Initial reactions speak of a surprising film, with an ending capable of shaking the audience and relaunching the saga in unpredictable directions.
